MES Protocol Mainnet Launching was scheduled on 7th November 2022 on zkSync2.0 Mainnet. This is an exciting stride for the platform in working towards its vision — to be a DEX that works like Binance but runs in a decentralized way on Ethereum.
MES Protocol is a highly scalable and performant orderbook DEX that offers a user experience similar to traditional exchanges, but fully decentralized and permissionless.
The MES Protocol is an orderbook-based DEX powered by Zero-Knowledge tech. The platform brings CEX’s trading experience to DEX, with speedy trades at a really low cost, while security is guaranteed by the Ethereum network.
What is ZK Rollup
ZK Rollup refers to zero-knowledge rollup. It is a layer 2 scaling solution that uses validity proofs to scale computation. Each batch of transactions comes with a cryptographic proof (ZK-SNARK) that is verified by an Ethereum smart contract.
This way every single transaction is fully verified by all Ethereum full nodes before a block is finalized. Thus, it enjoys high transaction execution speed, whilst inheriting Ethereum’s security level.
Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) are the backbone of the DeFi universe or even the whole crypto ecosystem. DEXs enable capital interchange in a non-custodial manner, without any intermediaries.
The Next Gen DEX
THE GO-TO PLACE FOR ALL CRYPTO TRADERS
Preserving the core benefits of CEX – high throughput and low execution cost – while maintaining fully decentralized.
DESIGNED FOR THE MASS MARKET
MES Protocol orderbook design largely resembles some of the most popular CEXs out there, making sure all functions are clear and intuitive.
EXECUTE TRADE WITH LOW LATENCY AND MINIMIZED FEES
Forget about the days when you have to pay to trade. With the emergence of zkRollup, trading on the chain has never been this easy. Deposit and trade just within a few clicks.
EMBRACE L2 EFFICIENCY W/O SACRIFICING L1 SECURITY
Trade without surrendering control of your funds. Plus, with zkRollup, you get the best of both worlds: security from Ethereum L1 and efficiency from L2 rollups.
How do trade?
To trade on MES Protocol, you need to get your testnet tokens. It can all be done within a few steps and you are ready to place your first trade on zkRollup!
ZkSync Testnet runs on Goerli on L1. Visit the link below and key in your address to get 0.05 Goerli ETH for testing (You might have to link your Alchemy account due to the high volume on-site).
Use the official zkSync bridgeto bridge your Goerli ETH to zkSync. It might take a while for the transaction to confirm.
Head to MES Protocol via the link below and you will be prompted to add/change to zkSync Testnet.
Deposit and Trade! There is a ‘Deposit’ tab on the right where you can approve and deposit/withdraw tokens. After that, you are good to go!
Furthermore, MES Protocol is built with a vision to completely replace traditional CEX and give users back their control of funds. This is all made possible by zkRollup.
